Despite the challenging market situation for the media & entertainment sector, I am glad to note that Toonz Media Group has forged strategic partnerships with global companies for co-production of animated series and feature films. This is a testament to our reputation and the trust our partner companies have in us. We have joined hands with Miami-based media conglomerate Cisneros Media to co-produce and co-distribute the highly anticipated 52 x 11 CGI animated series “Nerlies: Space Babie”. This collaboration is inspired by the best-selling toys from the renowned Mexican toy giant, Distroller. We are thrilled to partner with Cisneros Media for this promising IP. We are confident that the combination of a global digital strategy and an animated series will lead to the success of this venture. Our shared goal is to create enduring franchises that inspire and uplift children.

Another important joint announcement we made with the Swedish/Canadian production company Nuttery Entertainment in January is to start production on “Defenders of Imagination” animated pilot episode. Defenders of Imagination is based on the iconic Hakan Brakan, a character that has already won the hearts of many through the incredible works of Anders Jacobsson and Sören Olsson. The series aims to expand the universe they’ve created and introduce new characters and adventures that will resonate with young viewers today. It may be noted that we had already signed a deal with Nuttery last year to co-produce and co-distribute the 52 x 11-minute comedy, which is based on the Håkan Bråkan IP.

I am also pleased to inform that we are making rapid strides in the feature film division as we have entered into a co-production agreement with the Dumb Idea Group to produce and distribute “Santa On A Panda”. We have now acquired rights to make a feature adaptation of the children’s book Santa on a Panda written by Parker Jacobs (Yo Gabba Gabba) of the Dumb Idea Group with Multi-Emmy Award-Winner Brian A. Miller (Steven Universe, Adventure Time, Regular Show, Primal) signed on to produce.

I am sure Toonzians are appreciating the efforts the management is taking to get new projects. I have also encouraged in successive Townhall meetings that our employees should be aware of the global market situation and stay relevant by brushing up and updating skills and learning additional skills, especially in the context of revolution brought in by AI in animation and VFX. I am confident that Toonzians will put in more hard work and contribute further by increasing their productivity so that we can do timely delivery.
